monday.com created a tool that transforms the way teams collaborate. It is a unicorn company valued at over 5 billion dollars. Today, it is in a hyper-growth phase, employing more than 1,000 people, operating 7 global offices, with its headquarters in Tel Aviv.
When they approached us, they were just opening their second R&D center in the world – this time in Warsaw. Choosing to build a tech team in Poland was a strategic move in their global expansion. To launch operations quickly and effectively, they needed a local recruitment partner who not only understood the realities of the IT job market but also had experience in building an R&D center in Poland: from mapping the tech landscape to delivering highly qualified candidates who met the highest standards.
Challenges: recruiting top IT talent in a highly competitive environment
The client had an excellent offer but also very high expectations, as they hire exclusively from the top 1% of talent on the market. This group is difficult to reach because they are constantly flooded with job offers.
Additionally, roles of this caliber tend to attract many aspiring candidates who have a very low chance of passing the technical verification.
We also knew that monday.com had been dissatisfied with previous IT recruitment agencies, which had been overwhelming them with poorly matched candidates.
Which positions did we recruit for?
Mid Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, DevOps, Senior Engineering Manager, Product Lead, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineer, Database Reliability Engineer
Technologies required in the recruitment processes:
React, Angular / Vue, Node.js, Ruby, AWS, Kubernetes
Our solution: targeted IT recruitment for product-driven companies
As an experienced IT recruitment agency, we designed a process tailored to Monday.com’s needs.
1. Market mapping and sourcing
PWe prepared a list of technology companies in Warsaw, focusing on:
- product-oriented organizations,
- modern web technologies,
- large-scale end-user environments.
This is where candidates with the experience the client was looking for typically work.
2. LinkedIn campaign + direct search
We launched a performance marketing campaign on LinkedIn to establish first touchpoints with passive candidates. In parallel, we conducted direct outreach to selected professionals from targeted companies within consecutive recruitment sprints.
3. Support in understanding the specifics of the local IT job market
We worked closely with the client’s internal recruitment team, providing insights into the Polish IT talent market and the expectations of local candidates.
Result: successful recruitment of top IT talent
Our collaboration with monday.com delivered outstanding results:
- 7 recruitment sprints
- 6 job offers made
- 5 candidates hired – all meeting the client’s high expectations
The team in Tel Aviv was so pleased with the cooperation that… they sent us a gift basket with a thank-you note.
monday.com sent us a gift basket – but you can simply send an email 🙂
